Glasses are no longer just a medical accessory: we choose them like a jacket or a pair of trainers. And since we spend our days in front of screens, even people with perfect eyesight wear frames with neutral lenses, as much for style as for comfort. Here's what defines 2026, and how to wear it.
1. The round frame, retro-style
It's the shape that never leaves the shop windows. Inspired by the 1930s and the “panto” frames of the 1950s, the round frame softens faces with strong features and gives a studious look without being stern. In 2026, we want it slim, lightweight and slightly thicker on top, to frame the eyes.
At SAY: MIDI, round and black, is the most timeless version — the one that goes with everything, from a suit to a hoodie.
2. Tortoiseshell, everywhere
Brown, amber, sometimes almost blonde: tortoiseshell is the “warm neutral” of the year. It warms up your complexion, softens an angular face and looks less harsh than black on video calls. It's also the easiest colour to wear if you don't dare go for bold colour.
At SAY: HAVANE, round and tortoiseshell, with clear lenses for the whole day.
3. Coloured translucents
Sea green, honey, smoky grey, powder pink: translucent frames let the light through and change shade with the lighting. They look light, discreet from afar and distinctive up close — the ideal accessory to move away from black without overdoing it.
At SAY: JADE, in translucent green, is our “signature” pair.
4. The graphic rectangle
Opposite the round shapes, the rectangle is back with clean lines and sharp angles. It adds structure to a round face, gives confidence, and works particularly well in black.
At SAY: BRAISE, rectangular and black — with orange-tinted lenses for the evening.
5. Tinted lenses, worn with confidence
Amber or orange lenses are moving beyond the gaming world: people wear them in the evening, in front of a series or a tablet, and they're becoming a real style statement. Be careful, though: they aren't sunglasses, and they're not recommended for night driving. We explain the difference between tints in our yellow, amber or orange guide.
At SAY: SAFRAN (amber lenses) and DUNE (orange lenses).
How to choose your trend
A trend is only worth it if it suits you. Three questions are enough:
- Your face shape. A round face loves angles, a square face loves curves. It's all detailed in our guide to shapes.
- The size. A trendy frame that's too wide won't look right. Compare it with a pair you already wear using our size guide.
- The moment. Clear lenses for daytime and work, tinted for the evening: we help you choose.
The smart move: two pairs
Perhaps the most practical trend of 2026 is this one: a clear pair for the office, a tinted pair for the sofa. Two styles, two moments, and eyes that will thank you. All our pairs come with their case, delivery is free in France and you have 30 days to change your mind.
